In defense of Karni Sena

"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante

Let me be upfront here. The Republic of India has been engulfed by a crisis of monumental proportions. Karni Terrorists Sena has been in news, a certain movie titled Padmaavat has been too. After checking with a reputed journalist, I am confident that the nation really wants to know what happens to the movie. Nikhil has stopped eating and Nikhil's mother has stopped caring. The pertinent issue is the release of a movie, not-marketed by Karni Terrorists Sena.

Everyone has taken a stand, mostly in favor of the release of the movie, which perplexes me because I find the arguments of Karni Terrorists Sena compelling. At this time of crisis, I proudly stand in their corner.

Karni Terrorists Sena's protest is valid because they believe the movie portrays Rajput women in bad light. And I believe in the power of belief. Mahatma Gandhi said and I quote, "If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning." Given the upfront manifestation of the belief of Karni Terrorists Sena in its actions, it would only be a miracle now if the movie isn't edited by the power of belief to show Rajput women in bad light.

Next is the method of protest. They are vandalizing public property and spaces, someone has climbed a tower, and then there is the threat of committing Jauhar. Vandalizing public property is good. It reminds one of the fact that nothing in this world is permanent. We are born out of dust, and just like the property being destroyed, we all will end up in the dust. A lesson as deep as this is worth millions.

About the other forms of protest, it is Social Darwinism at work. Karni Terrorists Sena is allowing the society to move forward without excess baggage.

Karni Terrorists Sena is also upholding the age-old tradition of hiding behind women. Since time immemorial, whenever a child has faced troubles, he has hidden behind his mom's back. With the threat of Jauhar, they are keeping the age-old tradition alive.

They have blocked the traffic in Gurgaon. While overtly this may not look good, a careful analysis tells that this is a way to bridge disparities between the traffic of Gurgaon, and the other hub, Bangalore; the latter being infamous for its traffic woes. It is a surprise that socialists haven't seen this through.

The economy has received a boost and will continue to do so in near future, with increased public spending on security and public infrastructure, more viewership of news channels, and expected sales of the movie.

If this doesn't knock some sense into you, only Jauhar can save you. Personally, I believe the Karni Terrorists Sena is doing right. Do you? You should too.
